    Canon 350D: Canon EF 50 mm I, F/6.3, 30 sec, ISO 100

The shot is from La Jolla Cove in San Diego, CA. The night was pretty foggy, but I think that actually added to the shot. I think it made it look pretty surreal.

  • Senescence

So, what’s the first thing that I do with this new lens as soon as I get it outside? Well, I go ahead and test out the DoF (Depth of Field) that F/1.8 can get me…

    Canon 350D: Canon EF 50 mm I, F/1.8, 1/4000 sec, ISO 100

Such a shallow DoF. I love it. I can’t imagine how shallow the 1.4′s DoF must be. That one must make some incredible bokeh. One thing I realized is how much of a pain it is to focus in on exactly what you want.

PS. I think you’ll know where the title came from if you took Brain Injury and Recovery of Function this past semester. Immunosenescence anyone??
