Senescence
So, what’s the first thing that I do with this new lens as soon as I get it outside? Well, I go ahead and test out the DoF (Depth of Field) that F/1.8 can get me…

Canon 350D: Canon EF 50 mm I, F/1.8, 1/4000 sec, ISO 100Such a shallow DoF. I love it. I can’t imagine how shallow the 1.4′s DoF must be. That one must make some incredible bokeh. One thing I realized is how much of a pain it is to focus in on exactly what you want.
PS. I think you’ll know where the title came from if you took Brain Injury and Recovery of Function this past semester. Immunosenescence anyone??

That is quite amazing.
wow…very cool!
nice nice…
thanks…. Indo has countless of scenic places…. you should just go there and take pictures….
I have no idea what you are talking about so I’m just going to say this….
yes
That’s awesome! Is that the $75+ lense? Because I’m planning on getting that for indoor and portrait shots. ;]
Poisoned_Cake: Sadly no, but they should be similar optically. I got the Mk. I instead of the Mk. II. The Mk. II (plastic mount version) is the ~$75 dollar one.
I ended up paying a little under 3 times to get the metal mount version. (They’re in really high demand right now.) The reason why the Mk. I is better than the Mk II is because of the AF, the usable MF ring, the MF distance window, and the build quality.
The Mk. II is still a great lens, and a great deal, but I just wanted the metal mount one instead. I’m sure you’ll be happy with that for the portraits and available light shots!
I like the shot
I just wish I had a digicam so we could take shots together more often.
practice photography until you get good enough to photograph girls
