Washington DC - Part I
I've recently discovered the joys of doing a bit of Post-Processing on my images rather than only fiddling with the RAW --> JPEG conversion process... I'm going to start adding some PP on a few of my pictures that I post. I am no longer a purist. Crazy, huh?
I'll start with this post...
So here's the cliché DC shot that everyone takes. Did I do it justice?
Canon 350D: Canon EF 35 mm, F/5.6, 1/500 sec, ISO 100More Washington Monument
Canon 350D: Canon EF 35 mm, F/22, 1/80 sec, ISO 100

my people are in DC now... i shoulda went.. haha... but then we havent met... well.... i like the ducks that were enjoying the swimming
awesome... manybe it's my monitor, but the first shot seems overexposed. The bottom of the monument blends in with the sky. If you drop the curve on this shot, it'll bring it back
. The second shot is great.. I like th perspective and it's properly exposed.
Did you use a filter? The monument kind of fades into the sky. It has great composition though.
i think the first shot is great, but i really do love the second one more.
it's a different image in what you captured than what most of us conceptualize when we first think of the washington monument. that's why it's so cool.
(i hope that made sense)
i was in DC today. staring at the itty-bitty city from the top of the natcat
wow, those pics are nice (If the first one makes me wanna swim, & the second one makes me wanna climb, then they good! Tho, I wanna climb more then swim, even tho its hott over here- lol^___^)
I haven't been to dc in the longest. . .lets see. . .12 years. . .damn. . .Are the cherry blossoms still in blume? *thinkin of a road trip*
