Hey, I’m glad to know there’s at least one person who understands what the heck I’m talking about on Xanga! RYC, if you have a mouse attached to the unit, it makes sample editing almost as easy as you would do on a Windoze type computer. But the mouse is a MSX mouse and not really worth the price you pay on EBay these days. They have schematics to build a PS/2 – MSX converter so I’m gonna try that out at some point. The other option is to send the wav file to the sampler using a 3rd party freeware that does SysEx dump of the sample. That’s what I did for this loop, and although it took me a while to get the thing to accept MIDI SysEx messages, I finally have it working. Let me just say, w/o the monitor hooked up, it’s almost impossible to find the menu for enabling SysEx. I think you can do pretty much all the tweaking via MIDI w/ 3rd party softwares that are available, but I still like the look of the monochrome monitor.
wow it looks like it belongs in an og video game, like for the sega cd. kinda reminds me of myst… dunno if you’ve played that.
Why did I think Starcraft when I saw the title. I like the vintage/old feel of this, like a hazy memory while you’re running for you life in a forest, haha.
whyd you name it….darkness overwhelms? i feel like it should be called: newfound mysteryland?
