So it looks like everyone is trying their hands at macro photography these days– some with very good or simply exceptional results, and others with… not so good results (sorry, not mentioning names for this one).
What we, as hobby (non-professional) photographers, have to keep in mind is how interesting or visually appealing a subject is. Just because you can zoom in to see all of its details, it doesn’t make it a good picture unless there is something in the details that is worth seeing.

Cliché? Yes, but at least it’s a pretty shot and an interesting subject, heh.

EDIT: So it looks like a lot of firefox users can’t browse my site because of the way my Xanga theme is rendered with the browser. Grr Xanga. First a lot of themes don’t scroll right with Opera, and now a lot of themes prevent firefox from actually displaying the page. When will you fix yourself?
