  • Street Lights and Benches

About a year old, but I really like this shot. This was at Baltimore’s Federal Hill. I think I slightly prefer the perspective of B. People I ask seem to be split. Hope you like!

Which crop do you prefer? Why? (and thanks for your opinions)

    A.

    B. Alternate Cropping (which I now view as inferior…)

  • I’m in the mood for…

    …a good omelette. Are you?

    Canon 20D: Canon EF 35mm, F/2, 1/125 sec, ISO 400

I ate this lovely salmon omelette at Petit Louis here in Baltimore. If you’re in the area, you should check it out.

  • All Alone…

I’m not sure why, but for some reason (probably because I am loaded with work and stress), I’ve been feeling rather nostalgic the past couple of days. Here’s another picture that I took back in the old days with my Digital Rebel XT in San Diego (specifically Miramar Lake, which is about 5 minutes from where I grew up–Scripps Ranch).

    Canon 350D: Canon EF 70-200L @ 180mm, F/4, 1/2000 sec, ISO 200

At times during your journey, you must be alone. This is not necessarily a bad thing, though. Do you ever feel alone despite being surrounded by a lot of people?

  • San Diegan Sunset

Do you ever wish that you could travel back to a less stressful time? Although I am happy with life as it is now, I can’t help but feel stressed. It’ll all be over in less than a month, though. Alas, that adds to the stress… greatly.

    Canon 350D: Canon EF 70-200L @ 87mm, F/4, 1/320 sec, ISO 400

This photo was taken back in my hometown of San Diego, CA. It was taken a bit before I started studying–a simpler time, for sure. After living in Baltimore for (now) 6 years, I miss many things about San Diego… The perfect weather, the people (despite whatever objections Karen may have to this), and the sunsets. OK; OK. this sunset isn’t the beach sunset, but I thought it was worthy of a shot, and subsequent post.

EDIT: I really can’t concentrate. I should be studying, but here I am again… Ugh. XANGA = EVILLLL!

  • Fenced In…

Ever feel like you’ve almost reached your goal, but then something is just cages you in?

  • Refreshment

Sometimes you can still find refreshment in a familiar venue, or an empty glass…

    Canon 20D: Canon EF 35mm, F/2, 1/60 sec, ISO 3200

  • Ghetto Whiteboard Drawing…

I was in need of a diversion while I was wating for some data to process here at lab, and I decided to do a little doodle on my whiteboard. The real post is coming in the evening when I get back on my computer. I have some images processed, ready for my post!

Note: I cannot draw. I suck at drawing. I am HORRIBLE at drawing. Oh, and my flowers are as big as my tree.

    Some crappy camera (Minolta DiMAGE Z2: 6-60 mm @ 8 mm, F/2.9, 1/80 sec, ISO 200)

EDIT: Photo updated to reflect some additions (swing, tree bark), heh.

  • Dolly’s Revenge

I was out at Claude Moore Park in Herndon, VA with my girlfriend last week… Anyway, I took a shot that I like, but I felt that it needed some different processing. Anyway, this is my first time trying that old film-style look…

    Hope you guys like!

    EDIT: Colors updated!
