Actually, I lie. It’s not Funnel Cake time. I wish it were, but it’s not. These shots are from some time early summer 2012 at the annual Baltimore Charles Village Festival, before I moved up to New York. It was actually the same day that I took this picture of a shallow creek behind good o’le Johnny Hopkins!
Straight out of the fryer…

Sprinkling on the finishing touches!

Oh, how I’d kill for funnel cake right about now… Oh, and that guy’s nail in the second picture is gross.
Once in a while, you are lucky enough to catch a passing glimpse of clarity in a sea of ambiguity.

The previous dose of Filet Mignon wasn’t enough; I had to make some more! 3 minutes per side seared on a cast iron skillet, then I tossed her in the Oven at 375F for 7 minutes. She came out quite perfectly, if I may say so myself. And yes, that’s a pizza stone on the oven rack below the skillet.

OK. This isn’t really photography, as much as it is a simple snapshot of a terrifyingly evil looking creature that was scaling my wall a few months ago. Please excuse the poor image quality. That wasn’t exactly the greatest of concerns at the time.

As some of you may or may not know, I live an alternate life as the Portal Administrator / Editor-in-Chief of XDA-Developers. Today, as part of my duties, I had the privilege of live-blogging and playing around with HTC’s new flagship, the (new) HTC One. I’m going to assume that my thoughts on the actual device will interest approximately 0.000001% of those who come here for pretty pictures; so instead of ranting and raving about the One, I’m going to share some pics!
“Will Verduzco…” I think I know who that is! I’ve heard good things. He must be extremely handsome and well groomed!

Apparently, phones can fit in people’s (namely my) hands!

I was a little naughty and installed benchmarks on the device!

My reward for my efforts? A fantastic boba (not “bubble,” east coasters) tea in Flushing!

My good friend Paul, his wife, and I split a massive slab of some Psoas Major, a.k.a. Filet Mignon. Let’s see how this turned out…
Here’s what it looked like out of the bag:

OK. Let’s cut it up, shall we?

He’d probably be asking why on Earth his human captor dresses him up in such a silly costume!

New Xanga name (yay, bye bye childish/annoying name!), new profile pic, and now a new post (of a pic from last year that I am now getting around to processing/posting)!

Took this shot when I went to Chicago for an Alzheimer’s Disease conference where I presented some of my fMRI research. No, I did not stage this. Yes, I planned for this exact shot.
