Waterloop Heaven
I finally got around to putting in that water loop. I’ve had the components for well over a year, but never had the time. I still didn’t install the GPU blocks, but that will come another day. I didn’t want to deal with taking off the stock heatsinks quite yet. After all, Asus does some (relatively) decent stuff with their higher end cards. I’m just sad I didn’t do this a year ago when these parts were all bleeding edge.

[5D2 - Tamron 28-75/2.8@40mm, f/2.8, 1/25, ISO 3200]And for my fellow nerds out there, here are her specs…Water Loop:
- Swiftech MCP 655-B Pump
- XSPC Raystorm CPU Block
- 2x XSPC Rasa GPU Blocks (not yet installed)
- XSPC RX480 v2 – badass 480mm triple-width radiator
- Tygon Silver antimicrobial tubing (and a silver strip in reservoir)
- 8x 120mm Scythe Gentle Typhoon AP-15 – superb for radiators
- 2x 140mm Air Penetrator AP-141 – fantastic for high restriction
Computer:
- Intel Core i7 2600k @ 5.0 GHz – stable at 5.1 and I’m sure I can tease out a solid 5.2, but way too high voltage
- 2x Asus GTX 670 DirectCu II TOP – haven’t played with OC too much yet
- 2x 120GB Corsair Force GT in RAID 0 for OS – it’s FAST http://goo.gl/rTzxy
- 16 GB G.SKILL Sniper Ultra Low Voltage RAM (1.25v)
- Asus P8Z68-V Pro Motherboard
- 3x Platter Drives for storage (2 in RAID 1 for photography, other for m1sc pr0nz)
- Kingwin Lazer 1000W PSU
- Lian Li PC-A70F Case
